Application start-up hangs in Win98
Now it hangs when I shutdown and I have to power off without knowing if it is ready to shutdown. It hangs on the "windows is shutting down" phase. Sometimes it will start up fine and others it goes though the improper shutdown startup checkdisk routine. How do I adjust it to shutdown property? Thanks for info.

Outlook hangs at start-up. Corrupted profile?
I have re-installed FS 2k2, but it hangs during the start up sequence (I only get the B747 Start up screen and the dreaded egg-timer. task Manager shows that 2k2 is not responding. Any ideas to improve the situation and get me back flying would be much appreciated. thanks in advance Tim JN.

Shutting down and re-booting again got me to the same point, then when ScanDisk started, I quickly clicked "cancel" to end that process before it could hang. Next window was to select the user and I canceled that, since we typically do not use any personal configurations. It appears that the start-up is continuing

Word2000 hangs at application start-up...
Atleast once a day Outlook won't start. It will just freeze at the start-up logo. We have to remove the profile from the preferences so Outlook will prompt us to create a new profile on start-up. This will fix it. But I was hoping someone could point me out what causes this, as the user is getting pretty annoyed

The Windows software is up to date. The Windows load hangs up after "loading personal settings", the lock up is the hour glass on a blue background. I can bring up task manager, but otherwise the system is locked. I shut down and restart, and after maybe 4 tries, it starts and everything is normal.
